We're an Inupiat, family-owned business. We've lived in Utqiagvik, Alaska our whole lives and are passionate about our Inupiat culture. Amaulik and Joni have a whaling crew and are parents to 6 incredible children! Amaulik is a knowledgeable subsistence hunter and whaling captain. Joni, is an Inupiat artist. The pair create an incredible duo and are considered leaders and are well experienced in their culture and the land. Amaulik leads his whaling crew every year to harvest bowhead whale and Joni has her own Inupiat craft shop and occasionally teaches authentic Inupiat sewing and art techniques in their community.
